The purpose of this resource is to provide your family, group, or friends with a guide for home worship. You will find many of the same elements in our normal worship gathering.  We want to put a bit more control in your hands, while still providing live music & teaching.  You can pick the time, begin with this guide, and lead your family & friends through Home Worship.
(It may be easier to download this PDF to follow along as you watch the service)
Flatwoods family, it may seem that since we are not gathering together, that somehow we are less than what the church can be.  Acutally, we are just as much the church when we are gathered as when we are scattered.  Today you are doing the work of the ministry as you lead your family, neighbors, or friends through Home Worship.
In today’s passage we Jesus heals a bind man.  The story is real and very revealing.  We find that Jesus is more concerned about humanity than man made traditions.  We find that Jesus not only cares about our physical state, but he cares about our very life, our soul.  Jesus cares for humanity enough to become human and lay his life down for humanity.

If you have smaller children grab some paper, crayons, or even play-do.  Have your children draw a picture or sculpt what they hear in the sermon or ask them to take notes.  We hope this guide serves you well.

[have someone read this passage as a prayer for those in your home]

17  Though the fig tree should not blossom,

nor fruit be on the vines,

the produce of the olive fail

and the fields yield no food,

the flock be cut off from the fold

and there be no herd in the stalls,

18  yet I will rejoice in the LORD;

I will take joy in the God of my salvation.

19  GOD, the Lord, is my strength;

he makes my feet like the deer’s;

he makes me tread on my high places.

[have someone lead a prayer or you can pray this prayer]
God our Father, it is clear that your thoughts are higher than our thoughts and your ways are higher than our ways.  Today we pause to remember your faithfulness, your goodness, and your unfailing love.  Our family needs you today Father.  Remind us that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.  We worship you today Father God.  In the name of your Son, Jesus Christ we pray.   – Amen
WORSHP SONG – Victory in Jesus

Verse 1

I heard an old old story, how a Savior came from glory
How He gave His life on Calvary to save a wretch like me
I heard about His groaning of His precious blood’s atoning
Then I repented of my sins and won the victory

O victory in Jesus my Savior forever
He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood
He loved me ere I knew Him and all my love is due Him
He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood

Verse 2

I heard about His healing of His cleansing pow’r revealing
How He made the lame to walk again and caused the blind to see
And then I cried dear Jesus come and heal my broken spirit
And somehow Jesus came and brought to me the victory

Verse 3

I heard about a mansion he has built for me in glory
And I heard about the streets of gold beyond the crystal sea
About the angels singing and the old redemption story
And some sweet day I’ll sing up there the song of victory

Verse 1

I see the King of glory coming on the clouds with fire
The whole earth shakes, the whole earth shakes yeah

Verse 2

I see His love and mercy, washing over all our sin
The people sing, the people sing

Hosanna hosanna
Hosanna in the highest
Hosanna hosanna
Hosanna in the highest

Verse 3

I see a generation rising up to take their place
With selfless faith with selfless faith

Verse 4

I see a near revival, stirring as we pray and seek
We’re on our knees, we’re on our knees

Hosanna hosanna
Hosanna in the highest
Hosanna hosanna
Hosanna in the highest

Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like You have loved me
Break my heart for what breaks Yours
Everything I am for Your Kingdom’s cause
As I walk from earth into eternity
