MISSION MOUNTAIN VIEW
Mission Mountain View is a day for our church to worship together and serve our town the way Jesus has served us. What would happen if we used one Sunday this year to display Christ’s love in a big way?
We comprehend the love of Christ most clearly by his ultimate sacrificial love on the cross. Jesus said, “For the Son of man came not be be serve, but to serve and give his life a ransom for many. Jesus also instructed us to love others the way he has loved us. When we extend grace to more and more people, it will result in praise and honor and glory to the Father. This is a call for us to worship together and serve together they way Jesus has served us. (Mark 10:45)

THE PLAN
WHEN: June 5 | 9am - 3pm
WHERE: Mountain View & Surrounding Areas
WHO: Flatwoods Baptist Church
WHY: To live out our desire to see every man, woman, and child have access to the church and the gospel.
The plan will be to start with a worship gathering at 9am @ Flatwoods. By 9:30 teams will leave together to serve from 10am - 3pm. Lunch will be provided at a central location, or delivered on location. We will end the day with worship on the square at 5:30pm.
MINISTRY TEAMS
TEAM TOTALLY FREE CARWASH
What better way to display the free gift of grace than with a carwash. We will set up 1 or 2 locations to wash cars. No donations accepted. We will simply was cars, love people, and pray for gospel conversations.
TEAM LAUNDRY MAT
What could happen if we provided cost free laundry service for many finding it hard to afford it. We will take over the laundry mat, pay for their laundry, help fold their laundry, and create opportunity for gospel conversations.
TEAM SOCCER CLINC
Soccer has become a growing sport in Mountain View. What could happen if we provided a free, well organized soccer clinic for preschool - 4th grade. We will offer two clincs running two hours each (10am - 12pm & 1pm - 3pm).
TEAM YARD WORK
This could be an awesome opportunity to bless folks around town who need their yard mowed, weed eating, flower beds cleaned out, or flowers planted.
TEAM CONSTRUCTION
What could we accomplish in one day with the right crew? This crew may paint a shop, repair a wheelchair ramp, or simply accomplish some lite construction.
TEAM NURSING HOME
The elderly are some of the most marginalized, and need great acts of love. We will take a crew to love, talk, enjoy, play games, & share stories.
TEAM BLESS OUR CHURCH
We are called to love one another. This team will stay on location at Flatwoods to clean-up around our church, prayer walk various areas, write thank you cards to missionaries & church planters, help with lunch prep, & more.
TEAM BLOCK PARTY
Block Parties are fun. We can set up in a neighborhood with a grill, bounce house, and various games. This the neighborhood together for the sake of the gospel.
